Somalia is facing one of the worst famines in decades. The United Nations estimates that 7 million people are in need of food assistance, and that number is expected to rise to 10 million by the end of the year.

The famine is caused by a combination of factors, including:

  • A prolonged drought that has decimated crops and livestock.
  • Conflict that has displaced millions of people.
  • The COVID-19 pandemic, which has disrupted food markets and made it more difficult for people to get the help they need.

As a result of the famine, people are dying of starvation and malnutrition. Children are especially vulnerable, and many are suffering from stunted growth and development.

We are raising $25,000 to help provide food security to families and communities in Somalia. Your donation will help to supply families with food, water, and other essential supplies. It will also help to support programs that provide long term solutions for food insecurity.
